Jen Bryant is a writer based in the Midwest. Her work has appeared in Ms., The Sun, Cleaver Magazine, JMWW Journal, MER Literary, Matter News, and elsewhere. Jen is the recipient of a Ucross Foundation Fellowship in Nonfiction and a Greater Columbus Arts Council Funds for Artists grant, and her writing has been nominated for the Pushcart Prize, Best American Essays, and Best of the Net. She's participated in readings and live storytelling events at the Columbus Arts Fest, Two Dollar Radio, and Wild Goose Creative.
Jen believes that personal narrative has the power to open minds and shift perspectives. In addition to her own writing practice, she enjoys helping others tell their stories. Jen is a senior editor at MUTHA Magazine, a book reviewer at Publishers Weekly, and a creative nonfiction reader for Mud Season Review. She has served as a juror for the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards and the Writers' Colony at Dairy Hollow Moondancer Fellowship. She's also ghostwritten two books.
